Hi, I'm Lennie! I host and admin the 2xRust.com servers.
Unlike the vast majority of other rust servers who use "gameserver hosting companies" that share compute and memory resources amongst many clients, I build and manage our servers "from scratch" on Virtual Private Compute (VPC) - using the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Linode/Akamai to provide central-us hosting locations in Iowa and Texas.
It's a labor of love, but the result is a collection of servers with maximum performance and uptime.
This work is a pasion of mine and I hope you enjoy the ballanced gameplay and high-performance of our servers!
Our servers are privately funded and offered without any attempt to solicit money.
We have zero pay-to-win, VIP, or other nonsense that takes away from fair play.

Rules
Universal Rules, for all 2xRust.com servers:
- Follow the server max team sizes. Failure to do so will result in a 30-day ban.
- No VAC bans, game-banned-alts, or VPNs allowed.
- Known malicious IP's are not allowed to connect. I understand this may block some people who get an IP from a previously malicious person. Contact your internet service provider if this happens to you. They can usually un-assign this IP from you and give you a new one that hasn't been recently abused.
- Since I am hosting our servers from the US, we do not allow connections from the following sanctioned countries/territories: Cuba (CU), Iran (IR), North Korea (KP), Syrian Arab Republic (SY), Crimea (XC), So-Called Donetsk People's Republic and Luhansk People's Republic (XD).
- Other than sanctioned countries, you are welcome to play from anywhere in the world. However, for fair gameplay, your ping must be below 500ms. If your connection has a higher latency, you will be automatically kicked from the server. If you can fix your latency issues you are welcome to reconnect. Excessive latency makes the gameplay unfair for others. Sorry!
Don't be excessively toxic:
- My only goal for the 2xRust game servers is that you have fun.
- Rust is fun because it's harsh, intense, high-risk high-reward, and you will have enemies along the way.
- However... being excessively toxic may result in a voice/chat mute or a server ban. If it gets to a point where you are ruining the fun of others outside of normal gameplay mechanics, by being so over-the-top toxic, you will be banned. It ruins the experience for others.
- What is considered excessively toxic is at my sole discression.
- I will always warn you before you are banned for excessive toxicity, and briefly explain what the issue is, so that you may correct it... unless you threatening someones well-being in real life or being overtly racist.
FAQ
Question: If i've been banned from another server can i still play here?
Answer: If it's not an EAC/Facepunch ban you can play here. Don't break the 2xRust or server specific rules - or you'll be banned here too.
Question: Do you have vip packages?
Answer: No. VIP is pay-to-win and I just don't believe you should be able to have an advantage in a video game by spending more real-life currency than someone else. We do have limited perks, such as /skin skinbox, /sil Sign Artist, and box sorting, that are available if you join our discord and link your account in game. It's free, and available to all, therefore fair.
Question: Are these normal maps?
Answer: I use rustmaps.com to generate custom maps. I often combine outpost and bandit camp to maximize the number of large monuments that can fit on a map. My goal is to generate custom maps that are fun and appropriately sized to promote player interactions. You can see the next map on wipe day in the discord.
